Got a rookie, who admitted to being two days on the job. Got him to admit they use AnyDesk. After pointing out this is the same thing scammers do, and that he doesn’t know where the 808 area code is located he admitted it’s a scam. Took one comment about his mother to set him off. :rofl:

I called them around 1:20 PM CST. Definitely a scam. Also, I noticed that there is a trend with scamming numbers coming from the following VOIP carriers: Peerless Network, Century Link, Intelliquent/Onvoy (same company). I’ve been communicating this trend to FCC and FTC. All of these VOIP companies do not even bother to respond to me when I point out that their clients break numerous laws and impersonate government entities and legitimate businesses. They do not seem to care. I encourage all of you guys to report them to FCC and FTC and post negative reviews about them on BBB and all over social media. Let’s start the grassroot movement to hold VOIP carriers accountable for aiding scammers!
