Excellent research & counter-scam @OfclyGoodenough :+1:

EDIT: BTW, the 805# picked up (4:14pm ET) and the clown “Robert” called back from (559) 536-9071 (Onvoy). Wanted to “diagnose my system as my AV must not be doing it’s job if I got a spam email”. He quickly lost interest in doing that after I told him I used a Win11 VM with TOR browser and we could connect via my Splashtop remote software.

This isn’t his personal number by any stretch of the imagination

This number has done the rounds of activity primarily as an Apple popup number several times and has been active only sporadically over the last couple of years
I have more detailed evidence in my database of it’s activity and the times I have called this number.
It hasn’t been active to my knowledge since early February last year.
It can be otherwise be irrefutably proven by these links here with multiple names and voices answering on the recorded evidence:

Despite him being an ugly Pinocchio nosed fucker, he gets this affliction from being a dumbarsed lying scamtard

I RECEIVED A LEGITIMATE EMAIL REMINDER THAT MY MCAFEE SUBSCRIPTION WAS EXPIRING IN FEBRUARY. THEY APPARENTLY INTERCEPTED THIS EMAIL AND THE SCAM BEGAN. A FEW WEEKS BEFORE MY SUBSCRIPTION WAS DUE TO EXPIRE, THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL SAYING THEY HAD AUTO-RENEWED MY MCAFFEE AND CHARGED MY VISA $160.59. I CHECKED AND MY VISA HAD BEEN CHARGED. I THINK I CLICKED ON A LINK IN THE FAKE EMAIL AND WAS GIVEN A NUMBER TO CALL. WHEN I CALLED, THEY CLAIMED TO REFUND THE 160 TO MY VISA AND SAID THERE HAD BEEN A DATA BREACH AT MCAFEE AND THEY COULD FIX MY COMPUTER IF I WOULD GIVE THEM REMOTE ACCESS. I NAIVELY OKAYED THAT AND THEY SUPPOSEDLY INSTALLED A 379 DOLLAR MCAFEE PRODUCT GOOD FOR 3 YEARS. THEY HAD ME ON THE PHONE AND IN MY COMPUTER FOR OVER 2 HOURS AND I BECAME SUSPICIOUS. I HAVE ALL THE EMAILS THEY SENT AND AM INCLUDING THEM HERE.
