Called several times today but the last one was odd. Just called them back after a message saying there were accusations against me. I wasted about 20 minutes of their time before I revealed I knew it was a scam at which the guy kept trying to convince me to call a local number, drive over to my accountant and hand them my phone, give the case file to my accountant, and at the end even Google Hangouts Video chat him to prove he was real. No idea what his endgame was but finally got him to hang up after eating 46 minutes of his time.
@MrMalkav#34557 You can add your recording to the original thread. Also when you post a discussion, please add the PHONE NUMBER tag. You can do it when you post the discussion by clicking on the IRS SCAM in the left corner which will bring up a menu with PHONE NUMBER on it. You can fix this one or any of your posts after the fact by going on the dark REPLY button to the right and clicking on the down arrow. The same menu will appear and you can add the tag. This will make your discussion visible to more people. Thanks ; ) Oh, and call centers are down at this time of our evening because it is their morning, except in rare cases. They are also closed on the weekends because they know the IRS is not open. Again, only in very rare cases do they answer on the weekend.

Ah sorry first time. Did not get a recording as they caught me driving and on my lunch break. They answered an hour ago but yeah not sure if it’s still up. Thanks though. Will try to get a recording next time.
