HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:
- In order to “cancel,” I was asked to go to gobw.top (Code: 06681, IP: 154.53.51.69) and fill out a “cancellation form” after my screen was blanked with a fake “software is updating” screen.
- After I completed their form, which they falsely claim was “verified with the Better Business Bureau,” I was asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. Since I don’t have one, the scammer asked me to write down their “personal banking number,” (916) 439-1001 (Magic Jack).
