Additional information about this scam: The dude who called me actually spoke really good English. You know, this almost seemed convincing except for the fact that it’s some random number. He was nice though. If you take more than 5 seconds to respond to how much you owe the IRS, they hang up.
I get twenty of these a day from different numbers. I told him to stop robocalling me and he said, “Yo Momma.” Real professional. They lied and said I made an inquiry and that they had all my info so I asked what my name is and of course they could not tell me. The real number for Tax Relief Advocates is [(800) 556-5014]. I called there and the lady said she just takes messages. Great customer service.
