Very hard to understand… and I believe I woke him up from a dead sleep. I think he wanted me to steal two wallets because he needed identification cards? Told him I had his money and asked where to send it, but that didn’t seem to register with him. Never let on it was a bogus call, but perhaps I had called the wrong person. Will call back periodically with a few different identities to play with him.
Kind of a follow up to the above - it would be really handy to know the back story for this guy… like his name and what he is up to or how he is trying to get whatever it is he is trying to get. I have dealt a lot with the e-mail scammers in the past, and know that they are not the sharpest pencils in the box - even going so far as to send fraudulent checks to the “Check Fraud Division” of the local state attorney office! I have even been able to get them to send ME money - not a lot, but $5 here, $12 there - all sent overnight via FedEx as cash and on their dime. Knowing the story would help a lot.
