Today, Mon., 13-Sep-2021, at 10:33 AM Central, I called the (213) 766-4012 in the email. A man answered. I asked his name and he is “Harry Wilson” and he gave his Employee ID Harry789. He asked for the Ref # in the email. I said that I want to cancel the auto-renewal to get a refund.

Harry Wilson used often the expression TAKE YOUR SWEET TIME. He had me go to to the URL www.alpemix.com to get the refund.

When I got to the point of clicking the FREE DOWNLOAD button on the website, I told him my grandmother just got home with the groceries and that I need to bring in the groceries. I said I will need to call him back, and he gave me the CALLBACK number (213) 587-9928. I have not called his CALLBACK number though as I wanted to create this thread immediately.

Just before I hung up, he asked me my age for whatever reason. I told him I am 40 years old. I do not know why he asked me my age.

Anyway, have fun for those of you that want to mess with these criminals.

Ah he wanted to know how old you are for the obvious reason. When you said you needed to help out your gran, they knew you weren’t a senior. If you call back from the same number, they may not pick up.

You are right I suspect, @Teasgirl. Good point!

I need to think of another reason to get off of the phone to create a thread to post the scam. Using the need to help my Grandma or Grandpa denotes that I am not old enough to be a good victim.

I could play along though and wait to create the thread to post the scam after I get off of the phone, but I do not have a virtual machine and therefore I can keep them on the phone for only so long. Also I like to try to get a “callback” number to post by saying that something has come up and I need to get off of the phone now and call back after I handle whatever.

@Teasgirl, do you have any suggestions as to a good excuse for me to call them back that would jive with me being an old and decrepit man? My grandson just vomited all over the floor? My grandson just vomited all over my lap? Maybe my great grandson is running around with a kitchen knife in his hands? Maybe my grandson just got home and is stumbling drunk?

Yes acting older definitely helps. When I get a call or make one I always try to get another phone number, always say something about my children or my late husband. They definitely like to hear that you’re older and alone.
