We’ve been getting a whole lot of these lately. They must’ve started scraping Mugu.

This same scam email had just contacted me a bit ago and impersonated United Bank of Africa, and asked me to send a payment to a US-based Wells Fargo account. I’ve forwarded all of this to the FTC.

Edit: It wasn’t the same sender address, but a different sender address did that impersonation and also sent the exact message that you posted.
