“Just for calling today, you’re entitled to a retail rebate of $100”

“Just for calling in today, you have the opportunity for special pricing and discounts”

“You have been selected for a $100 Walmart gift card”

I get those almost daily myself. The most infuriating aspect is that they tend to be on the network of IP Horizon. IP Horizon is aka HFA Services and Call48. The aforementioned entities were previously sent the Cease-and-Desist Notices by the FTC.

It is ONCE AGAIN IP Horizon’s number! My favorite part is when I bring up a scammer’s number to their attention, they’d frequently respond “This is not a working number. Not currently in service”. How EXACTLY is it possible when I call back and verify every single number that I report? Every time, some Habib Sanjeev Brahmaputra of Lahore etc. answers the damn phone! How could such beautiful and intelligent Habib answer on a non-working number?
