Over the past many, many months, and years, I have focused on the Gift card scammers.
Thanks to the amazing services of Uncle Bob, I have been able to FUBAR them up anytime I felt like warming up my CPU.
Throughout those many, many thousands of calls, I learned their Algorithm/SOP.
They only route virgin caller ID’s to a human…
If you are a repeat caller/real victim, they assume you want to complain, and put you through an endless IVR, or sometimes transfer you to a competitor.
If your number has been flagged as a baiter, then once you press 1 for English, you get an immediate hang-up no matter which number you dialed. (They have hundreds or thousands of toll-free nums)
All of the gift-card scammers are the same exact company, same IVR, same scripts, but they sell the calls as a service to different scammers all over the world. Depending on the time of day, you may get American, Canadian, but most likely Indian, or Pilipino… The same 25 people answer 95% of the calls no matter what number you dial. The Americans and Canadians don’t stick around bcz they are usually honest and realize it’s a scam and then cancle their contract with the boss scammer. (Education wins on these calls)
Don’t give up on them, but understand that if they block your DID, you will be blocked from all gift-card scammers for ever.
