Either the hold music is super compressed, or it was recorded into from a speaker into the phone with somebody talking in the background. The background speech is completely unintelligible. The music is super quiet compared to the “call is important” voice, which could either be an issue with the phone system itself, but I suspect it’s not. However, after the “call is important” message, the volume of the hold music spikes. Whether that eludes to a phone system attribute or not, I can’t tell.
I called, and after I got through to an agent (a 3-4 minute-ish wait), she said “Thank you for calling {business name, completely unintelligible due to her heavy accent}, can I have your first and last name?” I gave a fake name, and then the line went silent. The call was still connected, but silent.
