I’ve been getting a bunch of calls from this “company” asking for a unknown person. After doing a little research on the numbers, they appear to be trying to collect information (name and dob) from the people they are calling using threats and what have you. They refuse to state what company they are from and will continuously call you multiple times a day from different numbers even if you tell them they have the wrong number.
Calling the numbers back gets you a little information about them:
Supposed Company: CBV Collections (legit company)
Numbers used:

514-989-5908 (todays number)

514-989-9418
514-989-5942
514-861-1292
None of these come back as publicly being used by this company.
The only issue is the fact that they are not conducting business as legit debt collectors would:
They are obligated to use their company name
They have to send you a letter by mail, esp. when requested
Even the company that is named uses these legit methods when they get a hold of real customers. Oh and also all debt collection companies are closed in quebec due to the virus and no other company is calling people right now so yeah...
The only legit part besides that company name is that some people are reporting that they get this call in regards to very old debts (10+ years)
