Called and said it was a mental asylum…

I have called them many times over the last 45 minutes or so. It seems to be a pretty small operation, with maybe 3 or 4 people. So far, I’ve spoken with “June,” Sam," and “Andy.”

"June" says she's not doing well because she's feeling sick. She also says that she has been scamming people for 2 years.

"Sam" is a very foul mouthed fellow, and claims that only smart people have the ability to successfully scam others.

"Andy" seems to be the joker of the operation. He is just a foul-mouthed as the others, but seems to have a jovial attitude.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to keep them on the phone for long. They want to have the last 4 digits of my phone number for "verification." When asked what kind of verification is involved, they said "We have to very the registration." When I indicated that I have never registered with them, they said, "You bought this computer. We have to verify that you are the computer owner." I then told them that I bought the computer used, so they would not have a record of the sale. "Thank you for calling, sir" was the response, before hanging up on me.

I was calling from skype, so I didn't know the last 4 digits of the number I was calling from. TextNow seems to be acting up, saying that the service is unavailable.

I'm somewhat of a SBIT (scam baiter in training). I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to this, but once I have a stealthy virtual machine set up, I'll be in a better position to occupy longer portions of their time.

Thank you to all the scam baiters out there, helping to reduce the scammers' ability to scam.

The number still works but I’m stuck in line so… Guess it’s dead.
