I got bored of pranking the same scam number today, so I signed up here to find some new numbers. This call stood out.
I've been spending my whole morning calling scam numbers. Out of all these numbers the one I've been having the most fun with is a Dell support line. I end up spending most of my morning in an hour-long call with an Indian guy named Alvin.
When I finally hang up I am immediately called back by a number in Atlanta. I pick up thinking that this'll be a great prank, since I live on the other side of the country. It's Alvin again, he thinks that my signal broke up too much and I disconnected. I explain to him that my "issue" was resolved and say goodbye.
After some time playing with other numbers I hit up the Dell support line again. Alvin recognizes my number this time and thinks I'm trying to threaten him. I casually explain that I just wanted some clarification on my issue before he hangs up.
Atlanta number calls me again. This is where it gets freaky - some guy (who sounds an awful lot like Alvin pretending to be a Cockney, might I add) starts shouting into the microphone that he's my father and he is disappointed in me, and then starts threatening me. He hangs up after I try to reason with him.
Another call from the same number as Cockney-Alvin. It starts off with ten seconds of silence, and then "hey there, hot stuff!" I hang up immediately after realizing it's a bot. It calls me five more times with the same message.
I try to call the original Dell number. Same message.
The "Cockney-Alvin" number has called me ten times while I was writing this post. I have visual proof if you need that.
The number I called first is +1 (855) 999-4377 and the number that called me back is +1 (470) 891-5322. When you call the second number you get a message that it won't take calls.
Let me know if any of you experience a similar thing, because this is freaking me out.
I just called the Dell number back. I got an actual response this time instead of the bot. The man was not Alvin this time. He was very patient about the issue and explained that the numbers were indeed related and apologized for the issue. I have yet to receive any more calls from the number.
AHAHAHA JUST CALLED! Its saying “Thank You For Calling McHelper Please Stay On The Line And You Will Be Connected” AHAHAHA What Type Of People Call Their Tech Scam Business - McHelper! Hillarious.
Guys call and place it on mute and just listen to them it damn well annoys them when u call and dont talk and i just did that and he stayed on the line currently for 46Seconds! HAHA.
I've been placed on call: And All It Is Is Playing The Music/Ringing And Then Saying "Thank You For Calling McHelper (BLAH BLAH BLAH" Ahaha then it got hung up this happened 3 times they must be declining my calls!
@ThaCallerIII#33189 i got a call from the second number and it wasn’t the scammer himself but a lady and her son who think that i am a scammer. I was trying to reason with but they due listen to me. The weirdest thing is that before i got the lady and her son i got another call with this same number but it was guy that sounds indian, he did not say anything except f* u and hung up the phone. Two minutes later that’s when i got the lady.
@ThaCallerIII#33194 this story is different from the one with lady and her son: yesterday, in the morning i got a call from the same number and when picked up a guy who think he was talking to a scammer started insulting me and after a while we both started hearing another guy who sounds like indian saying f* u, that’s when we realized that we were both scammed. The guy apologized and we hung up the phone.
Tried calling three times.
First time I got put on hold and then told to send a voicemail.
Second time I heard a brief noise, it was a girl saying "hi". She got cut off before she could even finish saying the word.
Third time I got nothing.
I'm going to try again in a couple of minutes... Anyone gotten to Alvin this week?
