Today, Mon., 03-OCT-2022, I got a text message on my VOIP landline at 1:21 PM Central.
The phone number (512) 882-2461 sent the text msg. I have not called it yet.
Here is the text msg:
Order placed ID HGMX8503 for Linksys Atlas WiFi 6E Router Amount. $999 has been deducted from Your Account. Not you? report us: +18054659568
Just now I called +1 (805) 465-9568 and it is active. A guy “Steve” answered. He said he is from Amazon. I told him I had received the text msg and then I intentionally and untruthfully said that I am having problems hearing you as you are cutting in and out since I do not want to spook him and since I wanted to create this thread immediately. So I hung up after saying that I am having problems hearing him even though I had no problems hearing him.
I do not know what they use to get onto a virtual machine or cell phone.
EDIT: I called the (512) 882-2461 that sent the text msg out of curiosity but there was a robotic message machine greeting and then I went into a message machine.
