@PaulT04#134205 Just wasted short of an hour with this guy. He tried and tried but couldn’t figure it out. Support.me stuff didn’t work and just stuck on ‘connecting…’. TeamViewer plain didn’t do anything once it was launched. AnyDesk stuff was worthless and I wasn’t about to download several hundred MB of .NET crap. He tried to tell me stuff about how my IP address was compromised, yet couldn’t really tell me what an IP address was ![]()
Finally I told him that it sounded like he didn't know much about computers - which is about the same as questioning his manhood! "Of course, I know each and everything about computers" he insisted.
About that time, it sounded like there was a fight or something going on in the background - lots of yelling and maybe even a few flying pots or something. I don't know what, but it sounded bad. I asked if he was really working for Microsoft, and that sure didn't sound like a Microsoft office. He said he was a certified tech for Windows. I said, oh, Windows, not Microsoft. He said "Sir, microsoft makes computers not Windows". It was all I could do to keep from laughing my ass off right there on the phone. Anyway, it ended with him saying that if I knew so much about computers, that I should take care of the virus myself, and hung up.
