They just called here from 762-701-9312 listed as a landline thru Peerless Network, which is the largest carrier for my illegal telemarketer problems.
The foreign accent (India?) posed as Spectrum, claiming my service was to be upgraded. I played along with the scam and eventually it got to where he said I needed to prepay, and as they are working with eBay on this I should go buy a $300 eBay gift card and then call 888-208-0667 which he said was the Spectrum Customer Center… it is not. It is part of their scam operation.
I then told him the call was being recorded & I was informed by an attorney to play along. He then started cussing and me and calling me a MF and trying to backpedal.
Call was recorded. The toll free number appears to be leased thru AT&T, so I notified them as well.
