(888) 912-5753 answering late hours
Another day, another toll-free fake Turbotax number from these same losers. It’s tax season in the USA again, give them a call and keep them busy! 888-900-3762
Update: Two numbers in one day! Keep them coming geniuses! 800-546-2857.
Another new fake TurboTax number today: 866-217-2243.
Update: two in one day – 888-912-5877.
And now there were three: 855-379-9749.
Updated again, going for a record today: 888-213-3701. Each and every toll-free TurboTax number.
(They must be getting busier as we get into U.S. personal income tax season again.)
Another toll-free fake TurboTax number from these guys today: 888-306-1682.
To find the number(s), point the web browser at their redirect site tx.newredir.com and fill out the fake form with any sort of garbage – the input checks are quite weak.
The registrar for newredir.com is Appcronix Infotech Private Limited, through its Vebonix subsidiary. https://appcronix.com/appcronix-infotech/ .
Update: second toll-free number today 888-318-0715.
They are back again in this scam. Their number is changed now …again…
They gave up and are currently posting the official TurboTax number from the real company. For security, Intuit does not support this browser or browser version.
As always, please take care before dialing and make sure you know who you are talking to before making assumptions and acting on them.
Update: changed again, now a non-toll-free t-mobile number that goes to an anonymous voicemail box.
Update 2! a new domain/website:
https://myefiling.online/Installation-Error-Contact-Support.php
and a new toll-free number which I am unable to verify.
they updated the number again its 800-560-2441 now
And another new number. This one’s a Twilio non-toll-free line. It goes to a generic voicemail. I’m not posting it here because the same number is also advertised by the website of this business. The website seems a bit odd but I have seen no evidence of it being a scam.
Peter was trying to take remote on the name of Turbo tax ![]()
give them a call and keep them busy! - 1844-508-2335
You keep doing this. I reported this number over a year ago
Now I’m sure it is a scam, but a different organization – ADVSoft. Why are you posting this in the thread about WebInfoTech?
That is the official TurboTax number. Just because someone is Indian does not give you a right to abuse them or accuse them of crimes.
I haven’t been able to verify the latest numbers I have seen on this group’s fake TurboTax registration error page https://myefiling.online/Installation-Error-Contact-Support.php . I suspect that the scammer group may be publishing wrong numbers or even a competitor’s numbers to throw off the track… But that’s just a guess.
Here’s another bit of possibly relevant information. On the same IP address as myefiling.online, and also coincidentally with the same website favicon, is this:
https://ustaxadvisor.info/contact.php
The phone number advertised by this business gives me the same distinctive “you have been blacklisted on this system” IVR message that I get from other WebInfoTech numbers when calling from my research line.
The physical address is a residential home with no on-line evidence of “decades of experience” in tax/accounting business activity there.
And as for their cyberspace presence – “decades of experience,” domain name registered 1/10/2025, 9:46:03 AM.
The whole website is a bit … boilerplate.
Obviously none of this is conclusive.
They again got a new number on the same website 833-460-9090.
Another new number, I believe this one is actually a WebInfoTech number unlike some others posted by some guy who says he is the “admin” of something. Airus carrier: 856-994-1074.
They are frequently changing their number again and again…got a new number with Richard on line 1856-994-1074 - fake turbotax
They updated the number again 1866-217-2243, Mike is still answering the calls!!
give them a call and keep them busy!
Here’s another suspected WebInfoTech property:
Here’s more WebInfoTech spam on Github:
It links to a fake TurbTax website (whoops!)
How can you say that this is the same company spamming on the name of capital one? i did not find anything linked to them but might be this is the another Scam running by a different company… How you are sure that this is WebInfotech…?
Good question. While I can’t be absolutely certain, there are several reasons.
First, as I noted in my postings, the (current) number for the fake Capital One is the same number as was and is used for a WebInfoTech printer scam.
Second, the distinctive blocked IVR message that I get on all suspected WebInfoTech properties when I call them from caller IDs that they are aware of.
Third, the similar three-staged SEO/spamming/scamming technique used to drive victims to the scam website(s). First, a Google Sites imposter page with a recognizable template used by all WIT Google Sites pages. Second, an intermediate redirector domain like newredir.com. Third, a PHP-based phishing site with one or more distinctive PHP/Javascript tricks to present either an innocuous “FAQ” page or the payload page depending on HTTP GET variables, referrer IDs, user agents and/or user IP addresses.
The combination of all these is for me a strong indication that these are Web Infotech websites and phone numbers. But if there are facts that suggest otherwise, please share them.
And by the way, what exactly are you the “admin” of?
