I called and spoke with John Morris. Eventually he identified he was from besttaxsupport.com. He did email me from this domain so I am confident he was associated with the domain (going there in a browser it is just a low-effort Wordpress site). When looking on the site I noticed the name is a little different, “Best Tax Solutions” which I am not sure if this means anything yet. John was calling me back with 949-590-3519 which seems to go directly to him.

Found “Best Tax Support LLC” (202109710498) was a registered business within California owned also by John Morris,
I noticed Standing - Franchise Tax Board (FTB) was listed as “Not good” From my limited searching a common way to get that status is not paying taxes which is hilarious if that is what occurred.
Found out some specific info about this company in particular, aside from TCPA violations.
CEO is allegedly a person by the name of Stephen Norris
Listed headquarters is a residential address: 25565 Corte Zorita, Murrieta, CA, 92563 and found an additional phone number of 949-378-6614
My bet is this is a false lead. I’ve heard four other DBAs given in the various voicemail recordings, and can only link them together by odd phrasing in the script, use of a female text-to-speech engine, ringless voicemail. If they indeed have an LLC, I seriously doubt they’d leave it in a recorded message.

I’ve looked into the company’s listing on BizProfile and found that
- The company was suspended by the California Franchise Tax Board on March 3, 2025, presumably because they don’t pay their annual franchise tax.
- John Morris doesn’t appear to be the owner of the company, but rather a registered agent.
- The company falsely claims to operate out of a virtual office space by Spectrum Executive Suites
