Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have looked at the complaints and found that Gaur hired the Jacksonville, Florida-based Dolittle & Tucker, P.A. to file these DMCA notices on the grounds that his LinkedIn avatar is an original work of authorship under Section 102(a)(5) of the Copyright Act. I consider this laughable at best, as my inclusion of his avatar would be constituted as fair use.
I didn’t want to post them (just in case) and chose that route instead.
I could make this characters life a living misery if I wasn’t already busy enough every day. ![]()
There is no privacy in public (plain view doctrine), especially if you have volunteered to make any image or factual data public on any social media platform for your own ridiculous vanity cravings.
Here is the most peculiar aspect: the hold music and the Chipmunk Man’s voice are both actively used by these scammers in your recording. Such features are usually indicative of Sansom/Merkavoix. Believe me, I know. I have been harassed by them for at least 6 years now. In that regard, I wonder how big their operation is. Might Tarun be in charge of their entity or in cahoots with Sansom???
UPDATE: Tarun may have once again attempted to take down this post in question by trying to reach out to me directly via Discord, using the username of @gaur_71625 (UID: 1356726419509739640).
Upon receiving his friend request, I immediately brought @NeeP in to watch our conversation, and he claimed to not be Tarun, but rather a hater of his who’s familiar with his operations. I felt this was sketchy as best, given he joined my personal Discord server last month, but he claimed it might have been “actual Tarun.”
In an attempt to dodge any further questions, the user told me their primary concern was Tarun now using https://cyberguardsolutions.shop to scam victims, prompting an investigation on my end where I confirmed this finding as true.
The number the scammers used was (866) 651-1011 (Telnyx) and “George Morgan” remotely connected to my virtual machine via support.me to try and get me to spend $199 on Qikbay. I have opted to share such information, despite the guy’s wishes to not have it be made public.
During my investigation, however, the guy told me that Tarun may have escaped any and all accountability by making a deal with a member of our community. I asked him to provide such information, and he attempted to dodge it by noting down the fact that “George” never wrote a toll-free support number on Notepad when he was remotely connected to my virtual machine.
As he was wording his response, I covertly set up a Grabify link and noticed he registered an account on our forum, using the email address of [email protected] and a VPN to mask his actual IP address. I sent him the Grabify link once he attempted to dodge my question once more, and he attempted to dodge the link by providing another Telnyx toll-free number these scammers use, (833) 906-3874, and claiming Tarun would “get ahold of him” if the information goes public.
We have ultimately concluded that the user in question was either Tarun himself or an employee of his, not only for his refusal to provide the information, but also the fact that he later clicked on the Grabify link I sent him, revealing that he was talking to us through an Apple iPhone out of Gurugram, India.
As such, @gaur_71625, I thank you for the self-report, ENJOY YOUR IP BAN!
Amazing and thorough research, as always! Way to go, Austin!
On another note, I’ve been looking at Tarun Gaur’s photos for quite some time now. I had this feeling that he strongly reminds me of some TV show character but I was unsure who it was… I think I know who it is now! Tarun with his slick weird hair and cheap suits looks like an Indian low-budget version of SAUL GOODMAN to me!
All he needs is a catchy rhyming line now! How about this one: "“Better Call Tarun, For Your Scam Tune!” or “Better Call Tarun, He’s the Scam King Soon!”
Tarun’s fashion sense screams “Better Call Saul”, but his ethics whisper “Better Not Answer”. And here is a nice line for his TV commercials: “Tarun’s business strategy: if at first you don’t succeed, rebrand your scam and try again. Persistence is key!” or “Need your bank account gone by four? Better call Tarun Gaur!”
If you’ve fallen in love, just say that! ![]()
Hahaha, every Saul Goodman needs his Kim lady lawyer. His “sweetie” probably looks like this:
I do have the name for their show: “Better Not Answer!” Look at all these ideas I shared with Taur for free! He can make it big in Bollywood, I think. I urge him not to ruin the show with cheesy music and bizarre dancing, though.
Awesome, just putting the text of the ip in this so I can search for it later and make connections with other scams. 223.190.82.72
Has a solid similarity with some Gurugram folks we have location owned
Interesting read from ex-employee of qikfox about how Tarun Gaur Scams:
I thank you for bringing this article to my attention. Here is a brief summary for people who think it may be TL:DR…
- The call center used to facilitate Tarun’s scam has been identified as Methodworks Private Limited, which operates out of Aykon Tower 7th floor, Sector 135, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
-
- Despite this, there appears to be no legal connection between Tarun and Methodworks, especially considering Tarun is an American citizen.
- While Tarun will hire people under the Qikfox name, employees will be asked to sign an agreement with Methodworks via video call.
-
- Under the agreement, the employee will be assigned to one of Tarun’s managers: Imran (who went to jail, but was acquitted due to lack of proof since he wasn’t allowed to have his phone in his office), Kashish Mehra, Arun Rajesh, Smahi Maini or Jyoti Maini.
-
- Employees must work under a 90-day non-negotiable period and a 2-year bond (which the employee must pay if they leave early). Employees must meet their target, or their 12-month salary will be revoked.
The article does also mention scammer.info being one of eight legitimate websites that mentioned Tarun’s scam that was since taken down.
