Yes, through our mutual employer, I have worked with consultants from South India back in the late 90's. Tata and Infosys if memory serves. Highly skilled programmers. Some were consultants working with our vendor, Unisys. Highly respected professional IT people. A handful eventually acquired green cards. One lives in Benicia now. They were the backbone in the development of what is now unified messaging voicemail.

In 1996 I was at the data center in Pleasant Hill, running Unified Messaging on a Unisys mainframe. They later migrated to Unix. I loved Unix. Were you in Crow Canyon Building? (not the Mecca aka starship on Bishop Ranch)
