The users will send malicious emails under the guise of Norton or McAfee to claim the recipients were being charged for an auto-renewal on their nonexistent subscription and have them call their listed toll-free number. During this call, the recipients will be swindled into believing their personal information was compromised and that they need a new protection plan that costs two payments of $279 upfront and an occasional payment of $130 in gift cards purchased from CVS.
