The user is a hired model posing as a romantic partner from Los Angeles, California who the recipients think have met from an online dating platform. The recipients will be deceived into investing in a crypto-related Ponzi scheme with no way to get their money back.
The fraudsters operate out of an illegal call center in the Emirate of Dubai alongside hundreds of migrant employees and are not from the United States. The owners of this scam operation originate from the People’s Republic of China.
