Publishers Clearing House Scam - "You Won the Prize" 516-399-3973

Scammer’s Number: 516-399-3973

They call from spoofed numbers and leave voicemails about you winning “second prize from Publishers Clearning House”. I called back and got a human at 9:29 AM CST. I was also able to leave a voicemail on this number. Found more info on this scam; this one is apparently Namibian!

Left phone message as well on June 25, 2021 around 10:50ish EST. My guess is a Jamaican accent.

Looks like this scam originates from Namibia, according to police report. So, it may be an African.

This scam is back and running. I spoke with a scammer at 10:30 AM CST at the same number - 516-399-3973. I had to leave a voicemail to have him call me back.

Gosh it’s been so long since I had him. Never got to talked to him. But I remember talking to a guy back when Bobrtc was up and he talked so slow, and kept saying I’m so sorry like he was drunk. He’d hang up I’d call back and apologizing again then hang up.

HAHAHA
I can spend ages doing mid word and sentence hang ups
Calling back with several different caller ID’s at the same time to fry whatever braincells are left is always a lot of fun.

One of the numbers Sandbar posted mid afternoon had a recording of one name
I got him on the phone immediately and the same voice was using a different name (for the 50 millionth time since I’ve been taunting them for the last couple of years on and off)
I argued the point with him for the next minute as to why he’d stolen the other guys phone and if he killed him for it.

It’s also adorable when they think they can block your caller ID
Calling the clowns back with consecutive caller ID numbers within half a second and doing hang ups really must make those 2 active braincells clash

Are you talking about one that was posted recently? I can’t keep up with all the ones I have now. But I do know which ones I can BS with to get the info I want. Dave Sawyer is constantly calling me at least 30 to 40 times a day no messages left, I don’t want to talk to David he won’t BS with me. And for the few that I have talked to wanting a claim code I’ve saved a bunch will any of them work if I throw one at them?. No point in saving them if they won’t work. I’m assuming they have certain ones that they expect to receive. How do I bypass that to get info I need?

I always work on the assumption they use dozens of different names and can never get them right half the time
They’re not likely to remember a claim number for any of the hundreds of numbers they set up every month.
I’ve never had them dwell on a claim number when you point the conversation away by making up random nonsense about your wife being at the specialists receiving essential treatment for a fictitious condition.
Sewing the seeds of a desperate personal situation will always get straight to the One Vanilla Visa or whatever crap pays official form 492 government taxes these days.

I’ll just start by being down in the dumps, that should get me past the code.

I just thought I would add, this is one of the oldest PCH numbers which has been active and has had many reincarnations through the 17 months since it first appeared.
These lightweights call me a lot also, considering I’ve called their numbers many tens of thousands of times, often tying them up for days at a time.
As I’ve mentioned there are much bigger fish to fry on tens of thousand of other active numbers.
I don’t spend a lot of time calling the PCH these days and most certainly never waste my time and intelligence speaking to any scammer. I can certainly shut them down without uttering a word to any of them. I will usually only arc up and king hit them if they go to their familiar racist safe haven, or say words they should never say about Americans.
A wise Chinese man once said: A man armed with a banana and three coconuts, should never try to go to war with a nuclear armed and technologically superior adversary.

My records show this number was first known on Monday, 30th August 2021
