I don’t understand why this needs to be said again!!! VERIFY the number yourself first, or privately ask someone to do so first.
Don’t just post it (said number) and put forward the fact it’s only a potential / possibly spoofed - in the case it is in fact spoofed and the innocent is now temporarily hit with a possible barrage of calls/questionable texts and what not whilst everyone’s trying to ‘confirm’ the validity all at once etc so to speak etc. Still quite damaging. Count yourself lucky here dude.
