I realize this particular thread is probably not the most suitable place to start the discussion of this sort. Yet, I still would like to mention that one of the core reasons behind robocalls and scam calls and texts is the avarice, recklessness and stupidity of a number of VOIP carriers. Driven by a deadly combination of pure greed, lack of knowledge and poor work ethics, many of them simply turn a blind eye to illegal calls and texts. I’ve just spoken with one lady from the “Compliance” Department of one shitty carrier like that. She verbatim told me that “everyone gets robocalls and spoofed calls, it’s part of life these days”. That came from a lady who’s supposed to ensure compliant and proper behaviors from that telco’s customers. Needless to say, nothing was done about my complaint.

Yes, Amazon actually investigates the most egregious reports and tries to have scammers prosecuted. I also had someone from Best Buy respond to me when I reported the ongoing impersonation of their company by Indians.

When I looked up the carrier it just said “SomosGov” I don’t know what the carrier is or who to report it to

No idea, tried a few lookup sites and no good answer, one just said SOMOSGOV thats the problem
Telnyx is the carrier and i’ve reported it

Why do all scammers use telnyx so much?
I think we all know the answer to this question. It is the same reason they love Onvoy and Peerless Network so much. My experience with reporting robocalls and spam calls/texts to these carriers has been very far from perfect, for example.
