After initially hanging up on me when I told him I cannot provide my card details over the phone, “this side John Miller” remotely connected to my virtual machine and wanted me to pay via card on their personal website https://payment.desk.care
- I provided fake card details and “John” proceeded to view msinfo32 before asking if I had another computer because I was signing up for a 3-year plan
The scammers falsely claim to operate out of a single-family home in Kimball, Nebraska and were even reported to scammer.info in the past.
However, when I checked the domain’s IP address of 192.145.236.241 
, I was able to trace the operations back to Micro Com Tech, LLC
