@jlvngstn#57385 This 13 year old is calling them and scam baiting since he was 11 like a 11 year old would do. It’s sad how these scammers not only take advantage of elders but also children. I used to fall for these when I was about nine. But luckily I didn’t have a phone until I was 12.
my 13 year old has finally gotten the courage to call back himself through Skype, thanks to everyone here, and a newly installed VPN.

I sat with him and we did it together. We uploaded tunnelbear and called from Skype.
He asked them how it felt to steal from a little kid and they told him they were a French Restaurant, Rendezvous. Then they told him that they just got this 800# and it was unfair that he was calling them.
He apologized and hung up.
So you are correct in your caution. He felt bad, apologized and hung up.
I explained to him that is how they operate and we talked a bit about social engineering and manipulation.
He said he would prefer to let others make those calls because he felt bad for the guy.
