I’d almost bet that if you called it again and pressed 1, it would say a different state name.
I also called 951-524-5826, which showed up as a Robokiller result when I was Googling -6906. Robokiller just said they had blocked it, but when I tried it, I got an “Illinois Financial Hardship Loan Program.” My call log shows the call was 2:18 long, so I might have briefly talked with an “agent,” but it was before I reorded calls and I dont have much in my notes about it.
There are thousands of these numbers active across every area code and toll free prefix
It is only the “New York” office because I’ll bet any money your CID is a New York area code number.
Changing your caller ID to another prefix and it will say the financial hardship loan centre of that state.
Changing the caller ID will not change the state, only changing your area code CID will do that
I’ve called the same number with 20 different state area codes roughly 3 months ago during block searches of these active numbers to work out what it was all about
They always appeared in large numbers in with student loan/personal debt/tax forgiveness and all the other 27 separate ivr menu messages, normally in consecutive blocks of 1000 numbers
I just called another number several times with different caller ID’s
All of the offices it directed me to coincided with the area code CID I called with
510 - Oakland, CA
814 - Erie, PA
458 - Eugene, OR
