As you have continued to baselessly attack us (and more specifically, @Jim) and are now requesting me to add a legitimate company to our Wall of Shame, I am left with no choice but to permanently suspend your account. If these attacks continue through a series of alternate/backup accounts, then I will have no choice but to file a cease and desist.
@Tillianne and @Chronus If there is indeed any impersonation of Microsoft taking place, it is very concerning and alarming. It would make sense to report such conduct to the proper parties:

Every single number you hang out on
8007292499 Microsoft tech support Geek of states
Here they are saying a “pop up” is hackers in my PC. First said it was a scam, but then proceeds to say the popup are hackers, and this guy can remove them. We all know that’s a lie. Also wants $200 to remove the hackers from fake popup when we all know you can just kill the popup and be just fine.
+1 (800) 595-4335 Picking up now
- 595-4335 Active
They are back claiming to be Microsoft +1 (800) 595-4335
Another thread here on the same number & company:
I can’t find any active Google Maps fake/impersonation profiles active right now. The one I pointed out last year here
seems to be disabled.
They answered as Microsoft and have been active but not picking up til today for about a month
The scammers are using an IVR where you have to legit say “Customer Service” in order to speak to a representative.
Picking up now as “geek of states” +1 (800) 595-4335
The Geekofstates account has been permanently banned from Reddit.
Yeah it had only been on for a few hours. All of those other accounts are sock puppets too
It seems to me like they have stopped their most blatantly deceptive advertising practices. Whether anyone should trust them because of these recent changes is highly questionable. The audio from Tillianne less than a year ago Geek of States, Indian Microsoft impersonators - #45 by Tillianne is damning – no honest computer technician would make the statements that are recorded there.
They do seem to have a storefront at their location in Canada, but of course I can’t vouch for what services they offer there, or the quality. Their website does also list a U.S. address in Kansas Contact us – Geek of States (Web Archive snapshot http://web.archive.org/web/20250618074343/https://www.geekofstates.com/contact-us/) which doesn’t look at all like a computer business according to Google Street View of last summer. https://maps.app.goo.gl/taGGbZs3KfkuHZiPA .
The Kansas address is allegedly shared by a technology company “Vonetel”: https://www.bbb.org/us/ks/shawnee/profile/computer-consultant/vonetel-communication-service-0714-1000047955
See the “Complaints” section and it looks like a typical fake popup scam: https://www.bbb.org/us/ks/shawnee/profile/computer-consultant/vonetel-communication-service-0714-1000047955/complaints
Check out their very professional website https://www.vonetel.net/
“Best Technology Industory” (sic) LOL!
According to the Vonetel website their toll free number is 800-574-9469 , which has been reported many times on this website going back many years.

Is Vonetel the same company as Geek of States?
Vonetel claims an Indian office at 4FC-21, Anshal Plaza Mall, Vaishali Ghaziabad 201010.
When I called them last week they picked up the phone as “Microsoft” that says all there is to say that they are still in the impersonation scam. That ad also shares their spelling skills
