Earlier today, @PBD tipped me in on a group of YouTubers who constantly uploads videos falsely claiming their viewers can get robux, the virtual currency for the online gaming platform Roblox, for free as long as the viewers click the links promoted in the comments section. But in order to receive “free robux,” users will be asked to complete a series of deals for a fake $750 gift card from RewardZone USA or a fake UberEats gift card from prizegrab.com, a subsidiary of FunGrab, LLC that claims to operate out of San Francisco, California.
While the company touts a 4.7-star rating on TrustPilot, their listing actually has a grade of 4.4 stars and several complaints regarding:
- Selling user data to 3rd-party brokers and collecting said data from fake sweepstakes.
- Steals banking information under the guise of a $1 “shipping fee”
- Using botted/burner accounts to generate 4 or 5-star reviews.
- Providing little to no customer service to their clients.
