On a bit of a news kick of late... but this speaks volumes about the industries that serve and employ us and the regulators who are supposed to keep them in check.
"In the process, these democratic nations risk losing a tradition of consensus decades old — an agreement among one another about how to live, how to govern and how to interact with others that has prevailed since the end of World War II.
How did this all happen?
Let’s back up a decade, to when the Ponzi scheme of low-deposit, high-risk mortgages brought the global financial system to its knees. The resulting years of recession and austerity added up to a betrayal of the unspoken guarantee that had kept the political establishment in place for decades: that each generation would be better off than the last.
“We haven’t forgotten 2008,” reads graffiti on a bank near Paris’ riot-scarred Champs-Elysees. “Give us our money back.”"
If we get more politicians that are extremely out of touch with the people, I fear we may be heading toward another civil war against these elitists.
How Facebook Could Be Affected by a Billion-Dollar Lawsuit Civil action was used to fight ticketmaster facility fees. Most scams and data brokers could be subject to class-action lawsuits as well. I think I am in the wrong profession. It seems there is a lot of money to be made if there is some investment.

Predatory loans offer tempting stopgap for federal workers missing second paycheck
Predatory lending is legal. And many folks who struggle living paycheck to paycheck deal with these bottom feeders weekly. All of a sudden, we should be concerned and disgusted because federal workers have to deal with them. This is not news unless the media or government decides to do something about them!
How to block phone numbers, robocalls from iPhone, Android, landline
It looks like Verizon will eliminate the fee on the call blocker option in March. This is great news, as it will appears that Verizon will not be shaking down customers for protection money any more. Again... All carriers have the ability to identify and track scam calls. That means they have the ability to block them. And yet they do not. This makes them complicate with the scammers. They make money by connecting the calls in the same way that the postal service makes money on junk mail.

A Change Made By the FCC Could Reduce the Amount of Robocalls You Receive | Mental Floss
It may be too early to say, but I think the government has finally successfully empowered telecomm carriers to take responsibility on this plague.
India call centers are often operated and controlled by Americans or people in America. The money is laundered through the call center, through a credit card transaction or iTunes card back to boss. It is likely most call centers do not know who they are even working for.
@myjackcity#93231 Lets hope that the carriers implement countermeasures. Just because they’ve been empowered doesn’t necessarily mean that the carriers will take action. As much as I love screwing with scammers I only do so because they rip off the gullible and people who don’t understand. It’s time for the carriers to take a bite out of crime. Hank Steam can’t do it alone!

It is true that businesses are not covered by the Do Not Call List. It is also true, I do not have much sympathy for foolish victims who lose money and fuel the scam industry.
Scam calls are inherently dangerous in their ability to distract and disrupt communications. Scammers need not steal money to victimize with harassment and chaos. Public safety is at risk.
Note: Adrian Abramovich is listed in this article as a documented lead generator who has already been prosecuted. More of these lead generators still operate in Florida and other states. It should be our focus to identify similar offenders. Lead generators service all scams.
