As was outlined, I will make a few opening remarks, but mostly what I want to hear tonight is from you. I want to hear any questions, comments, issues you think we need to be working on. So I’ll do a quick brief update, and then we’ll turn it back to the moderator who will take your questions, and I look forward to our conversation and our discussion. Two broad areas of issues that we’re working on that I want to highlight before we get started with the Q A. First of all, on the federal level, our big challenge as we head into September is passing the appropriations bills for the year. We are on our August district work period. So I’ve been back home working in the district, running around to various places from one end of the district to the other. But when we get back in September, our big mission is to continue to fund the government. The annual budget runs out on October 1, and we will need to renew those appropriations bills. And it’s fairly controversial this year. We have divided government. We have the Republicans in charge of the House, the Democrats in charge of the White House. And as I always like to say, nobody’s really ever in charge of the Senate because of the filibuster rules and the requirements there to get 60 votes. So it’s sort always a mutual thing, and we’re going to have to navigate through that to fund the government past October 1. If we don’t, the.
