Thank you! I knew she wasn’t cussing. I would have been happier if she would have been. I called her from 22 different numbers until the last she didn’t block at all so I knew she wasn’t by the phone. I’ll go back later and see what I get.
Pakistani females typically do not curse. Indian females do curse.

Could it be a cell phone? I called her from two different lines at the same time, I heard the beep beep then the vibrate for a missed call.
What do you get now when you call the original 213-535-9739 number? It’s some automated system first.
The number I reported still works but is some other scam now as described above.
Thank you for reporting them. They just did a follow up call to make certain I mailed the check. Trying to ride this out as long as possible.
I get no automation. Rings several times then drops.
Did you tell them you already sent the check? You can always say USPS must have lost it.
I will tell them on Monday.
Sometimes their answer is “we received the check but it was torn. We will send it back - can you just pay by card?”
I assume that’s their cover for losing a mule POBox.
Tell them you’ll send another check. They might give you another address.
If it comes that far - I’ll certainly try.
