Being sent in scam SMSes:

“A new log in attempt from melbourne has been stopped. If this was NOT you, Please contact us on 1800 491 622”
“You have successfully setup a new transfer to Ms. R Ali Reference code g32h” advising to call to +61 280057793."

I believe these are impersonating HSBC - though I’m unable to get through. If anyone does through could the post what they find / a recording of the fake HSBC IVR probably being used?

I called +61-1800951290 and they called me back from +61-756414818 . I called +61-756414818 and can confirm it wasn’t spoofed.

I called this yesterday, 4pm AEST, the first turnip transferred me to his senior supervisor
Senior supervisor “Steven” gave me 02 6100 3313 (Canberra number) he told me to call back when my power came back on… I haven’t confirmed this number, this guy is no noob to scamming

I can get a live scammer right now if I display a number when I call. If I call from a silent number it justs rings for 35 seconds and the call disconnects.
