It’s usually illegal to record a phone call without permission. Obviously, you are very unlikely to be prosecuted for it, but keep in mind that you’re sabotaging the usefulness of the audio file if you ever wanted to give it to law enforcement (illegally obtained evidence is not admissable as evidence in most places).
